    Description

    Location: Greater Christiansburg, VA 

    Travel: Daily local travel required between clinical sites

    About the Role

    The Service Representative plays a critical, hands-on role in supporting surgical procedures by managing and operating Medworks' medical lasers and equipment throughout the perioperative process. This position is primarily based in operating rooms and clinical environments, where precision, professionalism, and responsiveness are essential.

    The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically capable, and comfortable working in fast-paced clinical settings. They are confident interacting with physicians and surgical teams, capable of troubleshooting equipment in real time, and committed to delivering a high standard of service that directly impacts patient outcomes.

    What You'll Do:

    Equipment Setup, Operation, and Technical Support

    · Install, set up, and test medical lasers and equipment prior to surgical procedures

    · Operate Medworks-owned equipment during procedures to ensure safe and effective use

    · Perform maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting to maintain equipment functionality

    · Provide real-time technical support in the operating room to ensure procedures run smoothly

    Clinical Support and Training

    · Assist physicians and surgical staff with proper equipment use during procedures

    · Respond promptly to questions and technical needs in high-pressure environments

    · Provide guidance and training to healthcare professionals on safe and accurate equipment use

    Inventory and Documentation Management

    · Track and manage equipment and disposable inventory assigned to you

    · Maintain accurate documentation of equipment usage, procedures, repairs, and modifications

    · Ensure proper documentation for billing and clinical records

    Compliance and Quality Assurance

    · Maintain a laser-safe and compliant operating room environment

    · Follow all hospital and Medworks policies, including infection control, aseptic technique, and patient privacy standards

    · Ensure adherence to all regulatory and facility credentialing requirements

    · Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency

    Relationship Management and Collaboration

    · Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with physicians, nurses, and hospital staff

    · Collaborate effectively with internal Medworks teams to ensure seamless service delivery

    · Represent Medworks with professionalism in all clinical and customer interactions

    What We're Looking For:

    Required

    · Ability to work in operating room and clinical environments

    · Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols

    · Comfort working in fast-paced, high-pressure settings

    · Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    · Ability to manage time, travel, and responsibilities independently

    · Willingness to travel daily within the assigned region

    Preferred / Nice to Have

    · Experience in healthcare, surgical support, or medical device environments

    · Familiarity with operating room protocols or sterile environments

    · Technical aptitude or experience working with medical equipment

    Location Requirement

    · Must be based in or near Christiansburg, VA

    · This is a field-based role, requiring daily travel to hospitals and surgery centers

    · Work is performed primarily in clinical environments rather than a traditional office setting
