Responds to telephone requests, assists patrons and performs a wide variety of administrative functions for the entire parks and recreation staff. Process high volumes of registrations and memberships and maintains critical cash controls.

Job Scope:

No budgetary or supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Primary point of contact for department patron service. Assists patrons and accepts registrations. Responds to telephone requests and assist patrons with a wide variety of questions.

  2. Schedule facility reservations and prepare appropriate notices.

  3. Creates, maintains and performs data entry into the RecTrac System.

  4. Maintains administrative records and files.

  5. Processes financial transactions for and maintains all transaction history.

  6. Assists other Parks and Recreation facilities with transactions and patron services. May perform duties and responsibilities of various patron service positions throughout the department as needed.

  7. Accepts payments and balances daily receipts deposit.

  8. Count, balance cash and document petty cash box.

  9. Assists with RecTrac maintenance and prepares system reports as requested.

  10. Assist with program rescheduling as needed.

  11. Perform Pool Party Room, Gym and Lock-In Rental Management, as well as other facility or amenity rentals as directed or assigned; verify certificate of liability insurance, arrange for security, and arrange for room set up and supplies needed.

  12. Review online registrations and household requests.

  13. Receives, collects and compiles patron feedback and comments regarding programs, facilities, and events; responds to and reports patron feedback and comments according to established procedures.

Peripheral Duties:

  1. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; and

  2. Minimum one year experience in customer service preferred; and,

  3. Basic first aid, AED, and CPR certification is required within three (3) months of the date of hire.
