Job Title: Service Sales Representative

The primary function of this role is to sell service contracts. The responsibilities of a Service Sales Representative include:

  • Promoting and selling Fire Sprinkler services and small Fire Sprinkler installation projects or remodels to contractors and end users within an assigned territory and accounts.
  • Establishing contact with prospects and qualifying potential buyers of new construction and service work by scheduling sales calls, following up with leads, and utilizing marketing strategies.
  • Building new business associates/relationships and growing the sprinkler service business.
  • Working in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment with a focus towards sales and customer service.
  • Traveling to potential/existing customer sites.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the identification, selection, and development of new and existing customer accounts.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication with customers, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services at all times.
  • Ensuring contractual obligations are met and actively participating in quickly resolving customer problems.
  • Quoting to customers for service and any follow-up impairments.
  • Growing service base by selling commercial service products & solutions to new and existing customers, including:
  • Repair service
  • Modernization
  • Service agreements
  • Working with other branch personnel to ensure great customer service from the order to the delivery and beyond.
  • Performing customer surveys as required/requested.
  • Developing and maintaining vendor relations.
  • Obtaining all licensing required to perform job function, as applicable.
  • Obtaining manufacturers' certifications required to perform job function, as applicable.
  • Completing proper scheduling and execution of monthly calls as assigned by management.
  • Executing all Company processes and completing all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Continually enhancing sales skills and product knowledge in order to promote a professional image in the field.
  • Reading architectural and mechanical drawings and determining proper sprinkler locations for new construction and remodel projects.
  • Traveling to customer and job sites as required.

Qualifications:

Education / Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 2+ years of experience selling service contracts in the Fire Protection industry is required.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 13 and 25 is required.
  • Knowledge of industry standard practices for service and inspection is required.
  • Valid drivers license and excellent driving record is required.

Computer Skills:

  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
