Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and other KPIs including renewal and warranty conversion rates, and new unit additions
  • Manage a geographic territory - Develop product knowledge to effectively grow portfolio within territory and work with the local engineer team to expand the contract base by adding new contracts
  • Work closely with leadership to develop growth strategies for assigned territory
  • Quote customers directly through CRM system
  • Respond to customer inquiries, act as their point of contact, and ensure timely resolution
  • Contact customers to follow up on sales leads generated through engineers and other teams
  • Upsell / Cross-sell other PerkinElmer services and consumables offerings
  • Identify and generate lead opportunities for other PerkinElmer businesses
  • Follow company best practices and processes and learn effective selling techniques
  • Maintain sales pipeline and activity accurately in CRM tools
  • Embrace change and continuous improvement mindset
  • Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment

Critical Skills:

  • Must be results-driven and possess the ability to utilize exceptional negotiation skills
  • Ability to work within a Team Selling Model and engage field-based resources as necessary to advance opportunities
  • Strong communication skills (telephone & email)
  • Aptitude to learn new systems and retain technical information
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships via the telephone and email
  • Highly effective time management and organizational skills
  • Process orientated, with a strong knowledge of selling, marketing & the customer care process

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of inside sales or field service experience
  • High School diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales experience
  • General knowledge of CRM systems is preferred. Salesforce.com experience is a plus.
  • Relevant experience in the analytical instruments & consumables industry
  • Relevant experience in laboratory or field service operations

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $64,500.00 to $80,860.00. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
