Service Foreman

Commercial Truck Dealership

Cumberland International Trucks is looking for a driven, hands-on Service Foreman to lead our shop team and elevate both performance and customer satisfaction. If you’re an experienced diesel professional who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and delivering top-tier service, this is your opportunity to step into a key leadership role.

You’ll work with a wide range of medium- and heavy-duty trucks (Class 7 & 8), including top brands like Cummins, Eaton, International, and Allison, while serving as the bridge between our technicians and our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop diesel technicians to deliver efficient, high-quality repairs
  • Recruit, interview, and onboard skilled technicians who follow OEM standards
  • Assign work, manage workflow, and ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time
  • Act as the link between customers and technicians, ensuring clear communication and expectations
  • Drive shop performance by monitoring productivity, efficiency, and gross profit margins
  • Take ownership of the customer experience—from intake to final delivery
  • Ensure prompt, professional, and friendly service for every customer
  • Maintain strong relationships to support customer retention and repeat business
  • Ensure all work follows warranty guidelines and dealership standards

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in the medium/heavy-duty truck industry
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, truck systems, and repair processes
  • Familiarity with OEM guidelines and warranty procedures
  • Excellent communication skills—both with customers and team members
  • Skilled at multitasking and staying organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE and/or OEM certifications
  • Previous dealership experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with International Truck systems and supplier warranty policies
  • Willingness to keep learning and growing through training and development

 Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Comfortable bending, lifting, reaching, climbing, and working around heavy equipment
  • Ability to work in varying shop conditions (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
