Service Foreman

Cumberland International Trucks is looking for a driven, hands-on Service Foreman to lead our shop team and elevate both performance and customer satisfaction. If you’re an experienced diesel professional who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and delivering top-tier service, this is your opportunity to step into a key leadership role.
You’ll work with a wide range of medium- and heavy-duty trucks (Class 7 & 8), including top brands like Cummins, Eaton, International, and Allison, while serving as the bridge between our technicians and our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop diesel technicians to deliver efficient, high-quality repairs
- Recruit, interview, and onboard skilled technicians who follow OEM standards
- Assign work, manage workflow, and ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time
- Act as the link between customers and technicians, ensuring clear communication and expectations
- Drive shop performance by monitoring productivity, efficiency, and gross profit margins
- Take ownership of the customer experience—from intake to final delivery
- Ensure prompt, professional, and friendly service for every customer
- Maintain strong relationships to support customer retention and repeat business
- Ensure all work follows warranty guidelines and dealership standards
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in the medium/heavy-duty truck industry
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, truck systems, and repair processes
- Familiarity with OEM guidelines and warranty procedures
- Excellent communication skills—both with customers and team members
- Skilled at multitasking and staying organized in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE and/or OEM certifications
- Previous dealership experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with International Truck systems and supplier warranty policies
- Willingness to keep learning and growing through training and development
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable bending, lifting, reaching, climbing, and working around heavy equipment
- Ability to work in varying shop conditions (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
