Dryer Vent Wizard Technician Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable technician that can make people's homes safe by doing dryer vent cleaning, dryer vent replacement, re-routing of dryer vent lines, installing bird resistant covers, cleaning interior of dryers, etc. Various handyman skills come in to play as sometimes drilling new holes in exterior of residences to reroute a line are needed as well as cutting holes inside the home as well. A majority of the work involves cleaning dryer vent lines with a brush and flexible lines.

Dryer Vent Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Use iPad for determining the pricing of jobs
• Go to assigned homes to assess the dryer vent conditions, determine what is needed (cleaning, repairs, reroute), then present to the homeowner. If they approve, then you start work.
• Typically there are three assignments per day but sometimes there may be more jobs (not usually more than four)
• Sometimes you may need to use a ladder or get on the roofs of homes to do the dryer vent cleanings.
• Van and some tools will be provided.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED certificate preferred
• Able to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
• Cell phone
• Flexible schedule
• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to use an iPad
• Clean background check

We clean, install, repair, and replace dryer vent lines. Sometimes we use ladders to access the covers that could be over 20' in height. Sometimes we need to get on roofs to access roof vent covers. The technician has a diagnostic guide to follow on each job to build an estimate to present to the homeowner before doing the work. Hand tools will be provided if needed.
