Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Service Tech for our client. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing commercial HVAC systems—including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, exhaust fans, and make-up air units. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, exhaust fans, and make-up air units.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Communicate professionally with customers and provide outstanding customer service.
- Complete service reports and required documentation accurately and on time.
- Follow all company safety policies and industry’s best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work area.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
- Identify opportunities for equipment repairs, upgrades, or replacements that add value to customers
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
- Experience servicing commercial boilers, chillers, and cooling towers is a plus.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work from ladders, rooftops, and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, if required
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
