Field Service Technician AssistantPosition SummaryFikes is seeking a dependable and motivated fulltime Service Technician Assistant to support our service team in delivering high-quality service to our customers. This is a hands-on position that includes assisting technicians with service calls, equipment installation and maintenance, loading and organizing supplies, and maintaining clean and safe work areas.The ideal candidate is reliable, mechanically inclined, comfortable performing physical work, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Service Technicians with scheduled service calls, installations, and special projects.
- Load, unload, organize, and transport equipment, products, and supplies.
- Help inspect, clean, maintain, and prepare service equipment.
- Safely use basic hand tools and equipment.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe company vehicles and work areas.
- Follow company safety procedures and product-handling requirements.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Accurately complete required service paperwork or electronic documentation.
- Assist with warehouse, inventory, and facility-related tasks as needed.
- Learn company products, services, equipment, and service procedures.
- Perform other duties that support the service and operations teams.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in maintenance, install, warehouse, construction, delivery, or another hands-on role preferred
- Basic mechanical ability and willingness to learn.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Professional attitude and customer-service mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and climb throughout the workday.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely perform physical tasks and operate basic tools and equipment.
