We are Friendly Powersports of Baton Rouge and the home to the best lines in our industry offering Honda, Yamaha, and Polaris product along with a large amount of pre owned inventory. Our service dept stays busy all year round and such we are seeking an entry level Powersports Technician.
As a Full-Time Service Technician at Friendly Powersports, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the performance and safety of our vehicles. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, performing preventative and regular maintenance according to manufacturer specifications, and composing detailed repair estimates for both internal and external customers. You will inspect vehicles to identify additional recommended services and prepare thorough lists of required parts and labor times for each job. Additionally, you will explain diagnostic test results to the Service Manager and Service Advisors, ensuring clarity and efficiency in service delivery.
Test rides and other evaluations will also be part of your role, allowing you to engage directly with the powersports experience and maintain our commitment to customer satisfaction and quality service.
To excel as a Full-Time Service Technician at Friendly Powersports, candidates should possess a strong background in Motorcycle/Powersports or Automotive Dealership experience, ideally with at least one year of hands-on work. A relevant education, such as from MMI or a similar program, is essential for understanding the intricacies of vehicle mechanics. OEM certifications are preferred, as they enhance your earning potential and demonstrate your commitment to quality service. Proficiency with diagnostic software and repair tools will also be crucial, along with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and customers. Additionally, you will need to provide your own basic tools, showcasing your readiness to engage in a fast-paced and high-performance environment dedicated to exceptional service and innovation.
