Service Technician

Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group has partnered with an international manufacturer of industrial manufacturing equipment with offices in Charlotte, NC to recruit a Service Technician to provide installation, repair, and service to their customers. Roughly 50% travel is required, usually same day.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspections and/or option modifications on all machinery.
• Fill out detailed inspection forms for company record keeping.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete monthly skills training
• Assist in all warehouse operations delegated by warehouse supervisor and service manager.
• Assist senior technicians in the field with installation and training on customers machinery.
• Assist as need with phone support.

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot bandsaw machinery.
• Great record keeping skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Must be able to read and understand Electrical and Mechanical drawing and schematics.
• Some PLC knowledge, but not required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent communications, interpersonal and diagnostic skills.
• Working knowledge of all precision and measuring tools.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, kneeling, squatting, and lifting (max. 50lbs).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to effectively manage time.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Must be a Team player.

Pay Range: Hourly $25.00 to $35.00
