Service Technician Job Description

At Simpson Construction, our Client Care Division is a team of service technicians that serves our clients through the warranty phase of their building and beyond. Service Technicians must ensure the quality of service is high and develop strong relationships with owners. You will work with our Client Care Manager to keep them informed of progress, potential problems, and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Service Calls
  • Building Inspections
  • Work Order Tracking
  • Emergency Call Service

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Capable of understanding plans and specifications and able to relate them effectively to subcontractors and owners
  • Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods, subcontractor capabilities and building materials
  • Good understanding of construction methods
  • Basic knowledge and use of communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability is essential.
  • The ability to converse in Spanish may be an asset
  • Knowledge of building code and city requirements
  • Proficient in MS office
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience as a craft worker preferred
