    Description

    RCI Doors is looking for a motivated, hands-on Entry Level Field Service Technician to join our team. If you're mechanically inclined, take pride in quality work, and want to build a career in the commercial door and dock equipment trade - we want to hear from you. No industry-specific experience required; we'll train the right person from the ground up. 

    You'll work alongside experienced technicians learning to install, service, and repair a wide range of equipment while developing the skills to run calls independently over time. 

    What You'll Do 

    • Assist experienced technicians with installation, service, and repair of commercial and industrial doors and dock equipment 
    • Learn to perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating properly 
    • Support fire door and automatic door inspections per applicable safety and compliance standards 
    • Develop skills in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and basic access control systems 
    • Learn to read blueprints and follow installation specifications 
    • Work across a range of settings - warehouses, manufacturing, retail, office buildings 
    • Use mobile dispatch software to manage job details and customer updates 
    • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in top condition 
    • Follow all safety procedures on every job 

    What We're Looking For 

    • Mechanical aptitude and a genuine interest in hands-on trade work 
    • Prior experience in construction, HVAC, electrical, automotive, or a related trade is a plus - not required 
    • Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and across varied job sites 
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs 
    • Dependable, coachable, and safety-conscious 
    • Basic tablet/smartphone proficiency 
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record 
    • Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical
