Field Service Technician Job Responsibilities: Ensure completion of all required on-site documentation, including service orders and inspection sheets, and confirm accuracy of customer informationPerform technical skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of electric motors and pump systemsProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of electric motors, pump systems and controls both during normal working hours and after-hours, weekends, and holidays as directedRead and interpret operational manuals, electrical schematics, general literature, and work orders to perform required maintenance and/or repairsPerform systems controls evaluations including in-field analysis and recommendationsUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing dutiesDetect faulty operations, defective material and report them and any other unusual situations to the Manager and or Service Manager in a timely mannerComply with safety regulations. Maintain clean and orderly job site work areas.Practicing safe driving skills to and from job sites throughout the day. Overnight travel by land and/or air may be requiredMay perform work requiring the use of winch, pulley, hoist and/or A Frames Experience, Skills and Abilities: (including physical and work environment) Working knowledge of electric motors, pump and electrical controls, including knowledge of the mechanical operation, associated hazards, and proper usage of the equipmentAbility to interpret schematics and operational manuals for practical applications on repair and maintenance tasksAbility to take preventative safety measures to avoid electrical shock, limit exposure to loud noises, and prevent personal injury by using personal protective equipment, including the use of NFPA 70E protective equipment when applicableSkilled usage of mechanical tools utilized to repair and maintain electric motors and pump systems and their componentsAbility to perform duties in non-climate-controlled environments such as outdoor weather conditions and non-weather related wet, humid and/or extreme heat conditionsPosition requires extended periods of standing, extended periods of sitting while driving, as well as bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and the use of hands to finger, grasp, handle and feel often in repetitive motionAbility to handle heavy work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly to move objects.Requires the ability to speak in a manner that conveys detailed or important instructions accurately, loudly, or quicklyAbility to hear by receiving detailed verbal information or by making distinctions in sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.Visual sharpness to operate motor vehicles and heavy equipment in a safe manner with or without correction.Motor Vehicle Record must be in good standing and comply with Company policy We offer competitive wages and benefits and is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
