Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented BAS Technician to join our team in Austin. You will be

responsible for the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of computer-based control

systems for commercial HVAC equipment. Your role ensures that building systems—including

heating, cooling, power, and lighting—operate at peak energy efficiency while maintaining

optimal occupant comfort.

Key Responsibilities

System Commissioning: Perform startup and commissioning of new BAS installations, including

point-to-point verification and sequence of operations testing.

Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair complex issues in Direct Digital Control (DDC)

systems, including sensors, actuators, VFDs, and controllers.

Software Configuration: Load and configure controller firmware, trends, alarms, and graphics

for platforms such as Schneider Electric EcoStruxure.

Network Management: Support building networks using protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and

TCP/IP.

Energy Optimization: Identify and implement energy conservation measures (ECMs) through

system data analysis and calibration.

Documentation: Maintain precise records of work orders, as-built drawings, and system

backups.

Required Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree in HVAC or Electronics preferred.

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in commercial HVAC or building automation controls.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, wiring schematics, and mechanical plans.

Licenses:

Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License with a clean record.

Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces.

Preferred Skills Certifications

Texas ACR Technician Registration or Certified Technician status with the Texas Department of

Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

Advanced certifications such as SE EcoStruxure, or Certified Automation Professional (CAP).

Experience with specific platforms like Carrier Automated Logic (WebCTRL) or Trane Tracer SC+.

Requirements
