National Horizon Real Estate Services, LLC, in coordination with Blue Summit, is seeking a dependable, hands-on Service Technician I for a large 500+ unit multifamily community located in West Las Vegas.
This role is ideal for a maintenance professional with practical repair skills, strong follow-through, and a service-focused approach to supporting residents, property operations, apartment turns, and overall community appearance.
Position Summary
The Service Technician I is responsible for completing assigned service requests, supporting apartment make-readies, performing general repairs, assisting with preventive maintenance, maintaining curb appeal, and helping ensure the community remains clean, safe, functional, and well-presented.
This position requires urgency, professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with residents, team members, vendors, and supervisors in a fast-paced multifamily environment.
Essential Responsibilities

Complete assigned resident service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.

Assist with apartment turns, make-ready repairs, punch lists, inspections, and move-in readiness.

Perform general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, carpentry, locks, doors, lighting, hardware, and general building repairs.

Assist with HVAC troubleshooting, filter changes, thermostat checks, and related repairs within skill level and certification limits.

Support preventive maintenance for building systems, equipment, amenities, lighting, irrigation, pools, common areas, and community infrastructure.

Assist with maintaining curb appeal, grounds, trash removal, breezeways, parking areas, amenities, and common area cleanliness as needed.

Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in the on-call rotation as required.

Communicate clearly with residents, supervisors, and team members regarding maintenance status, delays, access needs, and completed work.

Document work order notes, materials used, repair status, and follow-up needs accurately.

Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, shop areas, maintenance carts, and storage spaces in clean and organized condition.

Follow company policies, safety procedures, Fair Housing requirements, OSHA standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Assist the Service Director, senior technicians, vendors, and other team members with larger repairs, inspections, projects, and property needs.

Promote a professional, accountable, safety-focused maintenance culture.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 1+ year of apartment maintenance, building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related hands-on maintenance experience preferred.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, locks, carpentry, lighting, and general repair work.

Ability to complete work orders, support apartment turns, and follow maintenance instructions with accuracy and urgency.

Strong customer service, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, ladders, maintenance equipment, and mobile work order systems.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including after-hours emergencies and on-call rotation as needed.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required based on property needs.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior multifamily maintenance experience preferred.

HVAC, EPA, CPO, or pool maintenance experience preferred but not required unless assigned duties require certification.

Experience with 300+ unit or 500+ unit apartment communities preferred.

Experience with property management software, mobile maintenance platforms, or digital work order systems preferred.

Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to perform hands-on maintenance duties, including walking the property, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting and carrying equipment or supplies, bending, kneeling, reaching, using tools, working indoors and outdoors, and responding to maintenance needs in various weather conditions.

Compensation
Pay range is TBD based on experience. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, certifications, technical skills, and alignment with the needs of the community.
