What You'll Do
As our Float Technician, you'll be based at a home community and travel to nearby properties as needed, bringing hands-on expertise wherever it's needed most. Your day-to-day will include:
- Completing maintenance work orders promptly, accurately, and with great customer service
- Turning vacant units and repairing fixtures, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, doors, cabinetry, fencing, and more
- Diagnosing and resolving resident service requests with sound technical judgment
- Communicating clearly with residents, teammates, supervisors, and vendors
- Keeping your tools and workspace organized, safe, and ready to go
- Following safety standards set by Towbes, communities, OSHA, and the EPA
- Partnering with community managers and on-site staff to deliver efficient, cost-effective results
- Rotating through our on-call schedule to support residents after hours
- Tracking and reporting on parts inventory each month
