Our manufacturing client in the Irwin, PA area is looking for a Service Technician

-Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, concerns, and service requests related to machine operation
-Schedule and coordinate travel to customer sites to install new equipment, troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and implement repair solutions
-Assess required resources, materials, and timeframes for service projects, including ordering necessary components
-Plan and perform preventive maintenance, system upgrades, and equipment improvements
-Coordinate with Customer Service regarding warranty matters and machine-related liabilities
-Schedule and complete service calls involving installation, evaluation, repair, and preventive maintenance at customer facilities
-Support the Machine Build Department with equipment assembly when required
-Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Media, and other departments to:
-Communicate customer feedback, complaints, RFQs, and order information
-Document service activity, repairs, and parts usage in Salesforce
-Follow up with customers regarding spare parts, media, and tooling reorders
-Travel extensively (80% or more, depending on customer needs)
-Prepare and submit detailed service and expense reports promptly after each trip, including all required receipts and documentation



-Technical diploma or degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
-3-5 years of hands-on experience providing technical field service support in lieu of a degree
-Strong troubleshooting abilities across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
-Proficiency using precision measuring and diagnostic tools (micrometers, calipers, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
-Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, engineering prints, and schematics
-Working knowledge of PLC systems preferred
-Valid driver"s license required
