Job Overview:

On-site installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of air compressor equipment. Requires 2-4 years plus of experience in the field. Familiar with electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings. Ability to manage time wisely to accomplish required actions quickly and precisely. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision, reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Primary equipment focus is rotary screw and centrifugal compressor technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site installation of compressed air equipment and follow testing procedures to ensure proper working order
  • Conduct on-site scheduled planned maintenance
  • Provide troubleshooting and repair support for customers and other field service personnel
  • Cultivate and develop positive working relationships with customers, system users and company personnel
  • Travel, often on short notice, to customer sites to resolve problems or support other field service personnel
  • Complete and submit field service reports
  • Provide training for customers and users on system maintenance
  • Provide input for various reports including identifying and isolating unique problems

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years’ experience of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
  • 1+ years of experience with Electrical/Electronic Technology or HVAC with basic knowledge of some or all of the following:
  • AC/DC circuits, wiring diagrams/schematics, motors/controls, PLCs, HVAC electricity, controls, refrigeration systems and/or refrigerant certification.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Core Competencies:

  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and other basic computer usage. Working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) and network bases.

Preferences:

  • 3+ years’ experience on compressed air systems/centrifugal technologies/solid controls background is a plus. While not required, those with knowledge in the service, diagnosis, and startup of both rotary and centrifugal air compressors, including dryers, cooling towers, and filtration systems are encouraged to apply.
  • Military experience and/or sufficient mechanical working experience is a plus.

Pay Range

  • The pay range for this role is $49,000-$76,200. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate’s skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
