    As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer support by maintaining and servicing Kyocera multifunction printers (MFPs) and related equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance at customer sites, ensuring optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction.

     

    Responsibilities:

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

     

    • Travel to customer locations to perform service calls in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Diagnose, repair, and maintain office equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service requests.
    • Manage and maintain accurate vehicle stock and parts inventory.
    • Provide ongoing operator training to improve customer productivity, maximize equipment uptime, and reduce service requests.
    • Represent Kyocera professionally through exceptional customer service, communication, appearance, and conduct.
    • Identify and report potential equipment performance issues to management proactively.
    • Stay current on new technologies through manufacturer-led training and online learning opportunities.
    • Collaborate with customer service and support teams to prioritize, manage, and close service calls accurately and efficiently.
    • Meet established performance metrics and KPIs.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:

    WHAT YOU BRING:

     

    Required Qualifications:

     

    • High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education, training, and related experience.
    • Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of networking concepts.
    • Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot network-connected printers.
    • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
    • Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, service manuals, and repair documentation.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments and effectively manage priorities under pressure.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and carrying equipment.
    • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • Working knowledge of print drivers, network connectivity, and printer installation.
    • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical and electrical service experience in the office technology or document solutions industry.
    • Completion of at least two current Kyocera or manufacturer-sponsored online application, connectivity, or technical training courses.

     

    Vehicle Insurance Requirements:

     

    • Standard auto insurance coverage with a maximum $1,000 deductible
    • Bodily Injury Liability: $100,000/$300,000
    • Property Damage Liability: $50,000
    • Collision Deductible: $1,000 maximum
    • Comprehensive Deductible: $1,000 maximum
