Position: Service Technician
Location: Richland, NE
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday Friday
Hours: 8: 00 AM 5: 00 PM (flexibility required)
Pay: Starting at $18.00/hour DOE
What You'll Do
As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems for residential and commercial customers. Your duties will include:
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain irrigation and sprinkler systems
Install and replace sprinkler heads, valves, pumps, control panels and irrigation lines
Perform seasonal spring start-ups and winterizations
Test systems for proper operation, timing and efficiency
Read blueprints, schematics and installation drawings
Operate trenching equipment, digging tools and other landscape equipment
Maintain inventory of parts and supplies
Document completed work using mobile software and collect customer payments
Keep your service vehicle clean, organized and properly stocked
Educate customers on water-efficient products and recommend solutions that fit their needs and budget
Assist with snow removal and general shop maintenance as needed
Participate in an on-call rotation during the snow removal season
What We're Looking For
Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service
Experience with irrigation systems is preferred, but related mechanical or maintenance experience is a plus
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Good math, communication and organizational skills
Ability to safely operate trenching machines, digging equipment and power tools
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Commitment to working safely and efficiently
Flexibility to respond during the 24/7 on-call snow removal season
