Service Technician

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs on mobile office trailers, including tasks such as framing, finish carpentry, electrical work, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear maintenance, and other aspects of modular building repair. Your role involves light carpentry, electrical work, and some HVAC tasks, although these require no certifications. You will also maintain inventory levels, keep the work area clean and organized, ensure a safe working environment, and provide excellent customer service.

• Perform repairs on mobile office trailers, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of equipment, tools, and parts for service tasks.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Ensure safety practices are followed according to company policies.
• Provide courteous customer service over the phone and in person, explaining repairs and services to customers.
• Prepare trailers for scheduled delivery dates.
• Conduct service calls in branch territories as assigned.
• Attend bi-monthly safety meetings.
• Close-up multi-sectional units and ensure doors and windows are shut on idle fleet.
• Assist in ordering materials and unloading material deliveries.
• Operate a forklift when necessary.
• Perform office maintenance and repair as assigned.
• Conduct system checks and maintenance on HVAC systems according to company guidelines.
• Ensure routine maintenance is performed according to established schedules and procedures.

• Interest in construction and working with hand tools.
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC knowledge.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills for customer interactions.
• Basic computer knowledge.

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance.
• Warehouse experience is beneficial.

Work in a clean and organized yard environment. Collaborate with a team to work on one modular unit at a time, either in a refurbished modular or the tool-holding one. Production typically takes about 30-35 hours to complete a modular unit, with a goal of completing one per week based on client needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vacaville, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
