This person will provide day-to-day; leadership, technical support, and supervision in the achievement of productivity, schedule attainment, quality and Employee Health Safety programs in the Service Weld department.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Coach and support area of responsibility

+ Daily communication and coordination with teams, other supervisors, and departments.

+ Direct work assignments in accordance with the production schedule

+ Plans and organizes activities of the production/assembly line to meet production deadlines.

+ Monitor housekeeping (5 pillars) with emphasis on 5s.

+ Participate in VIP to maximize production efficiency, improve technology, and correct safety issues.

+ Ensure compliance to environmental, productivity, quality and health & safety standards.

+ Prepare department budget including material, manpower, equipment and outside procurement costs, and operates within approved parameters.

+ Enforce policies and procedures and apply disciplinary action as needed Prepare and maintain production reports and records- taking corrective action when necessary

+ Coordinate departmental maintenance and engineering needs

+ Responsible for inventory analysis

+ Work directly with department scheduler

+ Order and purchase necessary equipment or materials for assembly or production.

+ Responsible for development, preventative maintenance, and hands on troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment

+ Owner of labor standards, process changes, equipment condition and related documentation

+ Communicate with supervisors from other departments to coordinate movement of service weld materials

+ Directs and guides technical team members in operations

+ Provides solutions to problems that adversely affect cost, operator safety, productivity and quality.

+ Oversees work cell development and material flow improvement.

+ Participate in PCI process

+ Process purchase requisitions and records as required

+ Maintain and continuously improve systems to catalogue tooling and track tooling usage

+ Other duties as assigned


MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:


Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical engineering degree preferred, or relevant experience


MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


2 years of industry experience


SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

+ Demonstrated ability to lead process improvements in a team environment

+ Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple operations High integrity
