ServiceNow Architect
Location: Chantilly, VA (approximately 3 days per week onsite, depending on mission needs)
Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (required)

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow Architect to support classified federal work while serving as a long term technical leader within a ServiceNow practice. The architect will be hired immediately to help shape technical strategy, support proposal and capture activities, and win highly cleared ServiceNow work, rather than being brought on only after a contract award. This is not a contingent position. Multiple classified ServiceNow pursuits and other contract vehicles are underway, and the architect's clearance and expertise will support additional opportunities across federal agencies.

This person will solve problems with complete end to end solutions in a fast paced Agile environment, building on the ServiceNow platform to modernize and automate government business processes that directly impact the client's mission. The architect will assess the customer's environment, recommend the right architecture, explain technical tradeoffs, and credibly advise the customer and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the ServiceNow architecture and lead technical design for scalable, secure solutions

• Assess the customer's environment and recommend architecture that accounts for the operating environment, future functionality, and enhancements

• Guide and mentor engineering teams through development and configuration of ServiceNow applications that meet stakeholder requirements
• Build and hands on develop ServiceNow functionality, including custom applications, integrations, and CMDB and asset solutions
• Shape technical strategy and support proposal activities for classified ServiceNow captures
• Build relationships within the customer space and communicate clearly with executive level stakeholders
• Identify system improvements and bring new tools and techniques to the team

• Work inside secure facilities and SCIF environments as mission needs require

Required Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree

• 5+ years of hands on ServiceNow development, including core ITSM tables, Glide, scripting, business rules, client scripts, and custom applications

• Recent, meaningful ServiceNow experience. No specific ServiceNow version is required.

• Demonstrated architecture experience, including platform design, technical tradeoff analysis, and the ability to advise customers

  echnical leadership experience, mature decision making, and strong communication skills, including executive level

• Infrastructure knowledge beyond development within ServiceNow, including private cloud,

• IaaS, and AWS and/or Oracle environments

• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB administration

• Experience implementing scripted web services and CMDB or asset integrations in ServiceNow, with knowledge of SOAP and REST web services

• Web development experience, including HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, or Angular, and back end technologies such as JavaScript, Java, .NET, or PHP

• Ability to work in classified environments and be onsite in Northern Virginia approximately 3 days per week

Preferred Qualifications

• True ServiceNow Architect experience. Strong Senior ServiceNow Developers and Engineers with architecture exposure will also be considered.

• ITSM and additional ServiceNow modules

• Experience implementing ServiceNow inside a DevOps pipeline

• Experience introducing open source solutions into ServiceNow via Script Includes or JS and CSS Includes Object Oriented Programming, SQL, and NoSQL database experience Application design experience using UML, ERD, and flow diagrams

• Agile Scrum experience

• Proposal writing experience

• Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP integrations

• ITILv3 or ITIL4 Foundation certification

Clearance Note

Full Scope Polygraph is mandatory. Candidates whose polygraph is not currently sponsored may still be considered if it was active and used within the last 2 years and can be reactivated. Clearance status will be verified rather than assumed.
