Job Title: ServiceNow Architect
Location: Tysons Corner, VA (Hybrid / Remote)
Duration: Fulltime
We are seeking an experienced
ServiceNow / Enterprise Service Management (ESM) Architect to lead the architecture, design, and technical direction of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions across multiple business units. This is a key architecture role requiring strong technical depth, Federal experience, enterprise integration expertise, and the ability to establish and enforce architectural standards and governance.
Required Experience & Qualifications- 8+ years of experience in ServiceNow and/or ESM architecture, including at least 2 years of Federal experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex, multimodule ServiceNow architectures at the n-2 currency level, with experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions across multiple business units.
- Deep expertise across ITSM, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, Service Catalog, and other major ITIL-aligned processes.
- Strong hands-on and architectural experience with CMDB and CSDM, including CI relationships, data governance, service modeling, CMDB strategy, and CMDB health.
- Broad knowledge of the ServiceNow product ecosystem, with experience in one or more of ITOM, ITAM, CSM, HRSD, SPM, SecOps, and IRM/GRC.
- Strong technical proficiency in the ServiceNow platform, including JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, UI Builder, and platform security.
- Extensive experience architecting and implementing enterprise integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Scripted REST APIs, MID Server, OAuth, SSO/SAML, LDAP, web services, and established enterprise integration patterns.
- Proven ability to define and document integration, security, data, and application architectures for ServiceNow implementations.
- Experience producing comprehensive technical architecture deliverables, including technical architecture documents, solution designs, data-flow diagrams, integration designs, and implementation roadmaps.
- Experience establishing and maintaining ServiceNow development standards, governance frameworks, coding standards, architectural best practices, and technical quality controls.
- Ability to lead architecture and code/design reviews, assess proposed solutions, and proactively identify risks related to performance, security, scalability, availability, and maintainability.

- ITOM implementations and architecture
- ServiceNow Discovery
- Network Operations Center (NOC) environments and operations
- CSDM/CMDB strategy, governance, and health
- Enterprise integration patterns and integration architecture
- ServiceNow upgrade and platform currency strategy
- Platform performance, scalability, and availability
Certifications- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) - required, or an equivalent qualification demonstrating comparable architecture expertise.
- ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) - preferred.
Candidates should be able to operate at both the
enterprise architecture and detailed technical design levels, translating business and operational requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable, and governable ServiceNow solutions.
Compensation:
The expected compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 annually. Compensation is determined in good faith and may vary based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, clearance level, labor category alignment, contract requirements, work location, internal equity, and business needs.
