Servicenow Configuration Management Database Analyst III

Overview The ServiceNow CMDB Analyst III will be part of the Service Management Office (SMO) ServiceNow ITSM team providing technical leadership to mature Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB) on the ServiceNow platform. Responsible for design and implementation of CMDB solutions catering the needs of IT and business stakeholders across enterprise. Provides guidance on CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping best practices, new features, and integration procedures that will help address current challenges and enable new practices delivering value to the enterprise. Serves as CMDB consultant in working with ServiceNow Development, ITSM, ITAM, and other IT application teams providing research and solution support on CMDB integrations. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, while updating management on regular basis.

Responsibilities What you will do

• Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on ServiceNow CMDB design and development of processes for Discovery and Integrations.
• Leads technical efforts in maintenance and execution of CMDB roadmap and maturity plan that is aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
• Provides technical leadership in evaluating and implementing CMDB solutions and services required to meet the business needs of IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, Infrastructure, Information Security and Application teams.
• Develops and manages the technical design and documentation of ServiceNow CMDB meeting current and future business needs of key stakeholders.
• Develops and implements CMDB integrations with external sources of data such as SNOW, SCCM and other third-party tools.
• Creates and maintains project plans for both strategic and operational initiatives and provide project status updates as needed.
• Communicates effectively with both IT and business stakeholders to provide demos and technical workshops on CMDB solutions.
• Designs and implements solutions that require ServiceNow and Java scripting for UI Policies, UI Actions, Business Rules, Workflows and Automation.
• Provides technical leadership on advanced CMDB administration.
• Leads CMDB development and projects functioning as an advisor and technical leader.
• Drives projects from inception through completion.
• Contributes more than his/her own personal productivity to the business by continually stepping out of the boundaries.
• Sets challenging goals and aggressively pursues attainment of them.
• Works with ServiceNow platform and Enterprise Architecture to implement Service Graph connectors to increase efficiency of IT Operations management.
• Participates in Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings to assess the new business applications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree In information systems, computer science or commensurate selection criteria experience. - Required
• Demonstrated experience in CMDB Design, Discovery, Service Mapping and integrations. - Required
• Proven experience in MID Server implementations and administration. - Required
• Demonstrated significant experience in ServiceNow Administration and scripting. - Required
• Proven experience coordinating multiple assignments simultaneously, and completing tasks accurately and on a timely basis with minimal supervision. - Required
• Demonstrated experience working independently with minimal supervision. Experience must include identifying and resolving problems, where decision-making and initiative are demonstrated. - Required

• Proven knowledge of ITIL process and framework and ability to identify project risks and gaps, developing creative and workable solutions to complex problems.

• Demonstrated ability to document procedures and activities in a manner that is understandable to others and prepared using a prescribed format, including elements of grammar, punctuation, diction and spelling proficiency that is appropriate to the intended audience.
• Proven ability to successfully and frequently interpret and communicate business needs among internal customers and external vendors in a clear, focused and concise manner (includes discussions, correspondence, reports, forms and bridge/conference calls).
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail with good organizational skills. Ability to continuously define problems, collect or interpret data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment (business and information technology).
• Proven knowledge of the financial or insurance service industry is preferred.
• Proficiency and comprehension of the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Proficiency in ServiceNow CMDB & Change Management processes in an enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in BigFix/SNOW/ServiceNow/SCCM Auto Discovery in an enterprise environment.
• Experience in ServiceNow configuration, integration or administration in an enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.

Work Setting/Position Demands
