ServiceNow Developer
Location: Falls Church, VA - Fully Remote
Eligibility: Candidate must be a clearable US Citizen that is able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop ServiceNow solutions including forms, workflows, business rules, client scripts, and integrations.
- Configure and customize ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, HRSD, CMDB, ITOM, or custom applications depending on business needs.
- Develop and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and Integration Hub.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the grooming, estimation, and execution of development tasks.
- Collaborate with platform architects and administrators to implement best practices for performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis, and resolve platform issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including requirements, design specs, test plans, and release notes.
- Support ServiceNow upgrades by validating changes, updating customizations, and ensuring platform compatibility.
- Ensure compliance with ITSM processes, internal controls, and governance standards.
- Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement of the platform.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience configuring and developing on the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and ServiceNow development frameworks.
- Strong ServiceNow HR development.
- ServiceNow CSA certification.
- Experience with workflow automation, Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI policies.
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP integrations and JSON/XML data structures.
- Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow certifications such as CAD, CIS (ITSM/HRSD/ITOM/CMDB/etc.).
- Experience with ServiceNow ATF, Integration Hub, and Scoped Applications.
- Background in developing enterprise applications or supporting large-scale ITSM programs.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow security and role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Experience with DevOps practices, Git, CI/CD pipelines, or automated testing.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Detail-oriented with good analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
