Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer – ServiceNow Enterprise Architecture / Application Portfolio Management (APM) with 3–6+ years of ServiceNow development experience to design, implement, and manage Business Application Lifecycle Management (BALM) solutions within the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ServiceNow Enterprise Architecture, APM, CMDB, JavaScript, Glide APIs, and front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, React, Angular, or Vue.js. This role focuses on improving application portfolio visibility, governance, lifecycle management, and automation while collaborating with enterprise architecture and engineering teams. A Bachelor's degree is required, and ServiceNow certifications are preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement Business Application Lifecycle Management (BALM) capabilities in ServiceNow.
Configure and customize ServiceNow Enterprise Architecture modules, including Application Portfolio Management (APM), CMDB, and ITBM/SPM.
Define and manage application lifecycle stages, governance standards, and portfolio management processes.
Integrate ServiceNow with enterprise systems to maintain accurate, real-time application lifecycle data.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify application rationalization opportunities and reduce technical debt.
Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics for application health, cost, usage, and lifecycle tracking.
Automate lifecycle workflows such as application onboarding, assessments, modernization, and retirement.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency within the CMDB and application portfolio records.
Develop and enhance ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Glide APIs, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
Support platform scalability, performance optimization, and ServiceNow best practices.
Participate in Agile development processes and collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams.
Maintain documentation and recommend continuous improvements to ServiceNow architecture and governance processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
3–6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development or platform engineering.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Enterprise Architecture and/or Application Portfolio Management (APM).
Strong expertise in Business Application Lifecycle Management (BALM) concepts, implementation, and best practices.
Experience working with CMDB, application portfolio governance, and lifecycle management.
Ability to collaborate with enterprise architects, product managers, and engineering teams.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
