    ServiceNow ITAM SME (HAM & SAM) San Diego, CA – Remote
    Location: San Diego, CA – Remote
    Employment Type: Contract
    Pay Rate:W2 Only
    Position Overview
    We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITAM SME with strong expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro), Software Asset Management (SAM Pro), CMDB, ServiceNow ITSM, and integrations. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise-scale ITAM implementations, design asset lifecycle processes, optimize software licensing, and establish ITAM governance and compliance frameworks.
    Required Experience
    • 8+ years of overall IT experience.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITAM implementations.
    • Strong expertise in HAM Pro, SAM Pro, CMDB, Discovery, and Asset Lifecycle Management.
    • Experience working in large enterprise ServiceNow environments.
    • Strong knowledge of ITAM, ITSM, CMDB, and CSDM processes.
    Key Responsibilities
    ITAM Implementation & Solution Design
    • Lead end-to-end ServiceNow HAM Pro and SAM Pro implementations.
    • Gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
    • Design asset lifecycle processes covering procurement, receiving, deployment, inventory, maintenance, and disposal.
    • Implement software license management, software reclamation, compliance, and optimization processes.
    CMDB & Asset Management
    • Integrate ITAM with CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, Procurement, and ITSM.
    • Define asset data models, asset classes, lifecycle states, and governance standards.
    • Maintain CMDB and asset repository accuracy through reconciliation and automation.
    • Drive asset normalization and software entitlement management.
    Integrations & Automation
    • Develop and support integrations with SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Azure, and AWS.
    • Build automation using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Business Rules, Scripted APIs, REST, and SOAP.
    • Support data synchronization and automated asset discovery processes.
    Governance & Compliance
    • Establish ITAM governance, policies, standards, and operational procedures.
    • Monitor software compliance, license utilization, and optimization opportunities.
    • Support internal and external ITAM audits.
    • Develop KPI reports, dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
    Stakeholder Management
    • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.
    • Serve as the functional and technical SME for ITAM initiatives.
    • Conduct requirements workshops, training, knowledge transfer, and documentation activities.
