Set Up Operator - Auto Power Press

Work directly for a Hartford County, CT manufacturer of stampings, machined components and assemblies.
This established manufacturing company is seeking experienced Set-Up Operators to support its Auto Power Press department on both 1st and 2nd shifts. This role focuses on machine setup, adjustment, operation, and in-process quality inspection while producing precision components to established specifications.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

-Set up, adjust, and operate Auto Power Press machinery to produce parts meeting accurate quality standards.
-Remove and replace tooling and make minor machine and equipment adjustments as needed.
-Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using quality specifications and precision measuring tools.
-Assist with troubleshooting, equipment analysis, and training other personnel on machine operation when needed.

Requirements

-3-5 years of experience setting up and operating departmental manufacturing equipment.
-Strong mechanical and math skills with the ability to read blueprints.
-Solid understanding of measuring tools, including micrometers, digital calipers, height gauges, and -optical comparators.
-High school or trade school diploma, or equivalent experience; ability to perform precision work and lift up to 35 lbs.

Preferences

-Experience troubleshooting Auto Power Press equipment or assisting tool and die makers with equipment analysis.
-Experience training or instructing other machine operators.

Schedule & Compensation

$30-$40/hour, based on experience
