We are seeking an experienced Set-Up Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing injection molding equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week
Location: Rochester, NY

Responsibilities
  • Set up and pull injection molds from presses ranging from 50 to 1,000 tons.
  • Load, adjust, and optimize machine parameters to meet production requirements.
  • Connect, test, and monitor mold cooling systems.
  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, process issues, and equipment performance concerns.
  • Identify molding defects and make process adjustments to improve product quality.
  • Diagnose and correct out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Perform mold changes safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain production standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of injection molding setup experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Understanding of mold types, resin materials, and processing methods.
  • Ability to read and adjust machine parameters to optimize production.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Must provide own tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the following equipment is preferred:
  • Toyo
  • Toshiba
  • Cincinnati
  • FCS
  • Sumitomo
Experience with Procrea software is a plus.
