Set-Up Technician - Plastics (2nd Shift)

Job Description:


The Set-Up Technician supports the production needs of the operation by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machines with assistance and/or direction from management or qualified associates.


2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00-11:00pm


Duties and Responsibilities


+ Set-up,operate, andmaintainequipmentas needed to support operations

+ Make professional and lasting modifications and repairs to existing equipmentwith direction from management or qualified associates

+ Responsible for cosmetic criteria as specified and communicating criteria to employees

+ Relay pertinent product and quality related information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors, and peers, in bothwritten and verbalforms

+ Documentation of production, maintenance, and QC audits performed

+ Organizing andmaintainingthe order and cleanliness of equipment, storageareasandthedepartment as a whole

+ Other duties and projects, as required by production and business need


Education, Skills, and Experience:


+ High SchoolDiploma or equivalent required

+ Previousmanufacturing experience preferred

+ Successful completion of Mechanical Aptitude test

+ Established ability toidentifyand communicate issues and offer proposed solutions

+ Greatattention to detailisrequired

+ Ability to manage interruptions in a professional and respectful manner is essential

+ Above basic math skills and reasoning ability

+ Moderate computer and Microsoft Office skills

+ Forklift certification
