Set up Welder

Summary --------

Weld tubes and assemblies as required. Usually working with another welder.

Essential Functions -------------------

1. Set-up workstation for the job using a Jib Crane
2. Weld tubes and assemblies according to work orders as well as small weld tacks
3. Use hand power tools as required, most frequently a grinder and needle chipper
4. Use hand Plasma Machine
5. Check work according to work orders
6. Use and inspect Jib crane each shift
7. Send work to next station and set-up for next job
8. Maintain a clean and safe work area
9. Other duties as assigned

Physical Qualifications ----------------------

1. Must be able to lift, push, pull, bend up to 50 lbs.
2. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, climb, and walk for extended periods of time.
3. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment in all types of temperatures.
4. Must be able to read Blueprints.
5. Must be knowledgeable of safety standards or willing to learn and adhere to.
6. Must be able to use protective equipment, including but not limited to:
   • Ear protection
   • Steel toe shoes
   • Safety glasses and/or goggles
   • Hard hat
   • Welding PPE
   • Job-appropriate gloves
   • Face shield when grinding

     Required Education and/or Experience -----------------------------------

     1. High school diploma or equivalent
     2. Must be able to pass a 2G MIG weld test on steel

     Additional Requirements ------------------------

     1. Dependable
     2. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
     3. Reliably commute to work location
