Penn Transfer is looking for a highly motivated Settlement Processor to join our innovative, agile team on our journey to unprecedented levels of success! The Settlement Processor will play a vital role in facilitating seamless and efficient real estate transactions. In this position, you'll assist buyers and work closely with our title team to ensure title applications are accurately prepared and submitted —this role will play an important part in ensuring our customers financing experience goes smoothly, a crucial piece of the process to further our mission of “Building Dreams Together.” Key Responsibilities: Settlement Processing:
- Receive and save title searches, communicate with lenders and realtors to obtain required information.
- Add legal descriptions to file in Qualia and plot.
- Order tax certifications/ verify tax payments.
- Order releases/payoffs and final water and sewer certifications prior to settlement date
- Assist settlement agent with follow-up on settlement packages and Preliminary Closing Disclosure preparation as needed.
- Assist the settlement agent in preparing file for closing. Printing settlement documents, organizing and preparing for signature, scanning and sending to customers.
- Assist settlement agent as needed with immediate post-closing tasks.
Administrative/Miscellaneous: - Print stipulation against liens as prepared and send for filing, scan and saved filed copies when returned.
- Attend phone calls and emails as necessary
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience: - Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and resolving title issues efficiently
- Ability to collaborate with lenders, title agents, and other stakeholders to optimize the settlement process
- Previous experience in title processing or real estate settlements preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
