Setup Technician / CNC Machine Operator

Location: Irwin
Pay Rate: $23-$27/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift - Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM OR 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Job Description

The Setup Technician / CNC Machine Operator supports production by setting up and operating CNC equipment. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with basic familiarity with CNC machinery. Minor programming experience is a plus but not required. This position provides support to machine attendants and entry-level operators to ensure efficient and accurate production.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform tooling setup and changeovers
  • Complete fixture changeovers as required
  • Run first-piece parts and perform inspections
  • Make minor CNC program edits as needed
  • Monitor machine operations to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Support machine attendants and entry-level operators
  • Identify and report tooling, machine, or quality issues
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications & Skills Required
  • Familiarity with CNC machines (lathe or mill)
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Minor CNC programming knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to use measuring tools for basic inspections
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attendance and reliability
  • Ability to work in a production environment
