Job Purpose
Sewing Department Administrative Assistant is an entry-level position and is responsible for organization, data entry, and validation within the department. They supplement and support the Sewing Team Lead and Support Leads. This position is designed to promote the quality and production standards set by Paceline, providing consistent attention to detail and promoting a safe work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance to the Sewing Group Leader and the Sewing department as needed.
- Computer data entry and filling
- Information validation
- Track work time and enter data into the bar-coded time and material data collection system
- Follow work instruction provided in writing and orally (English).
- Packing: Set up workspace to include packaging materials, cardboard boxes, labels, products, other necessary items, and production package documentation where required
- Inspect, assemble, pack, label, and transport as directed
- Clean up, maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workspace
- Other work as may be assigned by the Group Leader or Support Leads.
- Quality of work, number of non-conformances (errors) shall be measured
- Quantity of work, amount produced per hour or per job to an established standard
- Conformance to work rules as defined in the employee handbook
- Qualifications
- The ability to do work standing - 85% to 90% of the time
- The ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently
- Read, write, and communicate in English (Spanish a plus)
- Strong attention to detail
- Some computer skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work well in a team
- Needs to be flexible - willing to do lots of different types of work
- Experience as a picker is helpful, but not required
