About the Role

\n

A role supporting the cadet uniform program at the United States Military Academy at West Point NY. As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will operate standard and high-speed industrial sewing machines to perform a range of operations in the manufacture, alteration, and repair of cadet uniforms in a professional production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a sewing professional early in their career to build skills in a unique, mission-driven production setting.

What You'll Do

\n

•  Operate standard sewing machines to perform assigned operations in cadet uniform manufacture

\n

•  Follow work instructions and specifications under moderate supervision

\n

•  Inspect your work for quality and flag issues

\n

•  Maintain a clean, safe, organized workstation

\n

\n

What You Bring

\n

•  1+ year of sewing machine experience (production, alterations, or trade school)

\n

•  Willingness to learn high-speed equipment and production techniques

\n

•  Attention to detail and reliability

\n

•  Must be 18 years of age or older (U.S. Government contract requirement)

\n

•  Ability to speak, read, and write English

\n

•  Ability to pass a criminal background check for military installation access (valid ID and clean police record within the last 12 months)

\n

•  Reliable transportation to West Point, NY

\n

\n

What We Offer

\n

•  Hourly pay: $27.33 per hour — plus $5.09/hour SCA Health & Welfare benefit, paid directly in your paycheck

\n

•  Full-time, 40 hours/week guaranteed minimum, Monday–Friday day shift – no nights, no weekends

\n

•  Paid federal holidays and vacation per Service Contract Act requirements

\n

•  All PPE and equipment provided

\n

•  Anticipated start: August 2026; position runs through September 2026 with option periods extending to May 2027
