4 East is seeking an experienced and passionate Clinician to serve as a clinical leader and mentor within our nursing team. This role combines direct patient care expertise with leadership responsibilities, helping to support staff development, maintain high-quality patient care, and foster a culture of excellence.
About 4 East
4 East is a pulmonary medicine unit with 24 beds, all housed in private rooms. On our unit, we see a high number of cystic fibrosis and peritoneal dialysis patients, in addition to patients with pulmonary conditions such as COPD and pneumonia. We strive to create a uniquely caring and healing environment, with a staff that is very supportive of each other as well as students learning on the unit. We also receive an overflow of internal medicine patients; our diverse patient population and fast pace of work make 4 East a perfect fit for graduate nurses and nurses seeking to build broad knowledge and/or gain new experience.
What You'll Do
As a Clinician, you will:
The Clinician is a nurse leader who has direct responsibility in the achievement of a culture of excellence and patient care. The Clinician is a highly developed role model of professional nursing practice. Under the general direction of the Unit Director or other department manager, the Clinician will complete and deliver employee evaluations, conduct selection and hiring of staff, and manage the daily performance for a group of direct reports. The Clinician is responsible for providing service-based education and clinical expertise for staff including orientation and training, consultation on practice issues, and general coordination of clinical activities. Additionally, the Clinician may have shift accountability for delivering nursing care when needed.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN required
If your bachelor's degree is in a non-nursing field, a Master's degree in Nursing is required
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
Demonstrated success as a Professional Staff Nurse
Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the practicing state. National Certification preferred. PR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
