• Create a collaborative and nurturing environment for students to learn and take risks
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students
- Plan well-structured lessons that have varied learning experiences to meet student needs
- Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic problems
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, families, and staff.
- Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children''s progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs.
- Collaborates well with colleagues of diverse backgrounds on pedagogical approaches, curricular alignment including Universally Designed Learning, and instructional strategies
- Evaluate student progress which includes report cards and creating Student Success Team meeting notes when necessary
- Appropriate DESE licensure is required
- Other duties assigned by the building administration
