Fork Union Military Academy is a private, Christian, all-boys boarding military school located in the scenic heart of Central Virginia, serving grades 7–12 and postgraduate students. We are seeking an English Teacher who can deliver strong instruction in literature and writing, maintain clear classroom standards, and contribute to a structured, mission-driven school community.
Teach assigned English courses in literature and writing
Develop and implement lesson plans, curriculum, and assessments
Utilize effective classroom management strategies to support a structured learning environment
Provide timely, constructive feedback and assess student progress
Support student growth through differentiated instruction and engagement
Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (required)
Prior teaching experience, preferably in secondary education (strongly preferred)
Virginia teaching license or eligibility (strongly preferred)
Strong communication and classroom management skills
This position operates within a structured, student-centered boarding school environment and involves regular interaction with cadets, faculty, and residential staff. Occasional evening or weekend responsibilities may be required.
