QUALIFICATIONS
All candidates shall be certified and/or approved for teaching by the Department of Education for the State of
Michigan. All teachers are required to hold the appropriate endorsement for the subject(s) they are assigned to teach:
Mandarin- (FR)
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Apply differentiated instruction and assessment that improves achievement for all learners in a learner-
centered and collaborative environment.
- Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that
reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
- Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods of instruction.
- Implement research-based practices including differentiated instruction.
- Consistently create a high level of active student engagement and student-led learning.
- Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process including a FACTS Student Information System
and the Google Suite. (Including Google Classroom)
- Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, spiritual, and
emotional development of students.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with the Code of Conduct
- Create an environment of respect and rapport.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students,
principals, colleagues, and community members.
- Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly using FACTS.
