Shared Services Manager -Accounts Receivable

Location: Upland, CA

We're seeking an experienced Shared Services Manager to lead the Accounts Receivable department with supporting customer service, administrative operations, billing support, and Accounts Receivable functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and creating exceptional customer experiences.

In this role, you'll oversee daily department operations, coach and develop team members, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and partner with leadership to ensure efficient, customer-focused service across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of administrative and customer support professionals.

  • Manage daily department operations, staffing, and workflow priorities.

  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team culture.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Monitor department KPIs, service levels, and workflow performance.

  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency.

  • Oversee customer escalations and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly.

  • Ensure accurate administrative workflows supporting customer accounts, billing, and service administration.

  • Assist with resolving billing discrepancies while maintaining compliance with established procedures.

  • Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting, partnering with, or managing Accounts Receivable and billing operations is required. Direct AR ownership is not required, but a strong understanding of AR workflows and billing processes is essential.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in customer service, administrative operations, shared services, business operations, or service operations.

  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience leading administrative or customer support teams.

  • Demonstrated success improving operational processes and workflows.

  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

  • Experience using CRM, ERP, or ticket management systems (Freshdesk or similar) is preferred.

  • Experience developing SOPs, monitoring KPIs, and leading continuous improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
