Job Title: SharePoint Developer - III (Senior) (#MSD1JP00003893)
Location: Remote (Rahway, NJ)
Duration: 03+ Months Contract

Pay Rate: $55.15/Hr on W2

Shift: Monday Thru Friday (8 AM to 5 PM) – 40 Hours/Week

Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong software development background with experience delivering enterprise applications.
• Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or Azure certifications are a plus.

 
Experience Needed

• 7+ years of SharePoint development experience, with at least 5 years focused on SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
• At least 3-4 years of experience in Power Platform with Dataverse
• Proven experience delivering enterprise intranet, collaboration, content management, and document management solutions.
• Experience working with global stakeholders in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong track record of supporting and enhancing business-critical SharePoint platforms.

 
Must Have Skills and Experience

• SharePoint & Microsoft 365
• Strong expertise in SharePoint Online architecture and development.
• Deep understanding of SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, permissions, and security.
• Experience designing and managing communication sites, team sites, and hub sites.
• Strong knowledge of information architecture and content management best practices.
• Development
• Hands-on experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
• Power platform experience with Dataverse
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Fluent UI, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience developing custom web parts, extensions, and reusable components.
• Experience working with SharePoint REST APIs and Microsoft Graph APIs.
• Experience with PnP Framework.
• Automation, Integration & Reporting
• Experience building business process automation solutions using Power Automate.
• Experience developing custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas + Model driven).
• Experience implementing and supporting document approval and workflow solutions.
• Experience integrating SharePoint solutions with Power BI.
• DevOps & Support
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Github, CI/CD pipelines, and release management practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience supporting production environments and resolving complex technical issues.
• Experience creating technical documentation, solution designs, and support documentation.
• Soft Skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

• Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or serverless technologies.
• Understanding of Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled Microsoft 365 capabilities.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
• Microsoft certifications related to Power Platform, Azure, or Microsoft 365.
• Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 services.

Project Summary
The contractor will support the development and expansion of enterprise AI solutions built on Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Power Platform, and SharePoint Online.
The primary focus will be the hands-on development of AI agents, integrations, and business applications that improve employee productivity, automate business processes, and provide intelligent access to organizational knowledge.
The engineer will also assist with development and support of Google Gemini-based solutions and prototypes where appropriate.
 
Department Summary
The team partners with Global Communications and Policy organizations to deliver innovative AI and digital workplace solutions. The group develops AI-powered applications, intelligent agents, automation solutions, and collaboration platforms using Microsoft 365 technologies.
The team focuses on rapidly delivering business value through practical implementation of AI technologies rather than enterprise architecture or platform strategy.
 
Responsibilities
The contractor will:

• Design, develop, and maintain modern SharePoint Online solutions and applications.
• Build SPFx web parts, extensions, forms, and reusable components.
• Develop and support Power Automate workflows and Power Apps integrations.
• Configure and maintain SharePoint sites, permissions, metadata, content types, and governance structures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Implement and support document management, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing capabilities.
• Integrate SharePoint solutions with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Graph, and enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform, application, and integration issues.
• Produce technical documentation, solution designs, and deployment guides.
• Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, accessibility, and governance standards.
• Support platform modernization, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
