JOB DESCRIPTION: Must have an upbeat attitude with a commitment to provide an unforgettable fun and exciting haircut experience for each of our client children and parents. Ability to listen to and communicate with clients to ensure their complete satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to hire, lead, coach and train team for performance and salon goals. Operate Point-of-Sale software system. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere. Ability to work with kids. Organize employees’ shifts. Oversee and maintain the health and safety of customers by following the laws and rules set forth by the state board of cosmetology/barbering. Report directly to ownership. Specifically the salon manager will be responsible for:
- Point of Contact for staff; Stylists and Salon Specialists.
- All staff should contact you with any salon issues.
- Work with our Assistant Manager to ensure all aspects of the business are running efficiently.
- Staff Schedule
- If there is a schedule conflict or illness, the Manager is responsible to fill the gap.
- Approve/Disapprove and inform staff of decision.
- Ensure schedule is updated in computer system to reflect the correct days on and time for staff.
- Training new staff on how the salon operates.
- Assist Salon Specialists with questions on opening and closing the salon.
- Inventory of product and replenishment, including ensuring computer inventory is up to date.
- The Manger will assign the weekly cleaning duties.
- Ensure all cleaning duties are being performed correctly and signed off.
- The Manger, Assistant Manager have authority to provide complementary services to unsatisfied clients.
- Assist owners with staff and client complaints.
- Able to perform Receptionist duties such as checking clients in and out.
- Assist stylists with prepping children in chairs and minicures for girls.
- Apply hygiene practices across all beauty stations.
- Be responsible for, and maintain cleanliness of salon.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum two years’ manager experience. Able to work weekends.
