Position Summary:

We are seeking a Laser Shear/Brake Press Operator for our client located in Decatur, AL. In this role, you will operate a Press Brake Opeartor& perform entry level or repetitive machine operation duties. Employee will work in extreme Heat & Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes and Metallic Particles. Employee will be exposed to the hazards of working with heavy machinery. Employee is required to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel toed boots with metatarsal and hearing protection. • Understands and follows all company safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans work area and lubricates equipment
• Operating shear and brake press machinery to cut, bend, and form metal materials according to blueprints and production specifications.
• Measuring materials, performing quality checks, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring finished products meet company standards.

• Basic reading and writing comprehension in English (to read instructions on picking tickets and cross-reference drawings, safety and policies manuals)
• Basic measuring skills to read and convert English and Metric systems
• Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions
• Experience on a Press Brake
• Demonstrated manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination
• Must have HS Diploma
• Must pass a Background & Drug Screen
• Steeled-Toed Boots

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: 1st Shift – Monday–Friday 6:00AM–4:00PM

• Pay: $18/hr plus overtime (if you work 160 regular hours in a month)
