Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator to play a key role in securing new projects and supporting a growing preconstruction team.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial HVAC and sheet metal projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
* Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, review construction drawings and specifications, and analyze project scope requirements.
* Develop competitive bid proposals, submit RFIs, attend pre-bid meetings, and collaborate with internal teams throughout the estimating process.
* Utilize estimating software such as FastDuct (or similar) and analyze historical project data to improve estimate accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of estimating experience with commercial HVAC, sheet metal, or mechanical construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, sheet metal ductwork, construction drawings, and project specifications.
* Experience preparing detailed estimates, managing multiple bids, and meeting project deadlines.
* Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Experience using FastDuct or similar HVAC/sheet metal estimating software.
* Background working for a mechanical contractor in commercial or industrial construction.
Compensation
$60/hr plus a comprehensive benefits package.
