Job Description We are seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator to become an integral part of our close-knit, 8-person team! Whether you are a seasoned journeyman fabricator or a hardworking individual with a strong mechanical aptitude looking to learn a lifelong trade, we want to hear from you. You will fabricate custom sheet metal products (primarily HVAC-related ductwork, fittings, and components) and enjoy the unique opportunity to work directly with the customers receiving your work. Key Responsibilities: \' Fabricate Custom Products: Utilize shop machinery and tools to layout, cut, form, and assemble custom sheet metal orders according to specifications. \' Inventory Management: Receive, organize, and manage incoming inventory for our retail sales floor and shop production. \' Customer Support: Assist with daily retail sales operations, helping walk-in customers and contractors determine their product needs. Qualifications: \' Experience: Previous sheet metal/fabrication experience is highly valued, OR a strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn the trade. \' Skills: Good practical math skills (fractions, measurements, basic geometry) and basic computer skills. \' Communication: Effective verbal communication and a customer-friendly, positive attitude. \' Reliability: Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a team-first mindset. Physical Requirements & Employment Conditions: \' Must be able to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. \' Must pass a standard background check and drug screen. \' Meet and maintain company attendance standards. \' 6-month probationary period from the date of permanent hire. Compensation & Benefits \' Salary: \$50,000 to \$75,000 Annually (Starting pay depends entirely on experience level and existing fabrication skills) \' Medical Insurance \' Paid Vacation & Paid Holidays \' Matching Retirement Account \' Employee shop access for personal projects
