Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour to start
Schedule: Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
Saturday: 6:00 AM-11:00 AM as needed

Sheet Metal Former / Aerospace Assembler Must-Have Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to read and use calipers and other measuring equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times throughout the day
- Ability to work on the manufacturing floor for extended periods
- Ability to learn and operate hydro press equipment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn aerospace manufacturing processes
Sheet Metal Former / Aerospace Assembler Position Summary
A leading aerospace manufacturing company is seeking a Sheet Metal Former / Aerospace Assembler to form sheet metal components to engineering requirements. This hands-on position will operate hydro presses and use check and straighten methods to produce precision aerospace components.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read blueprints and use measuring equipment, and a willingness to learn specialized aerospace forming processes.
Sheet Metal Former / Aerospace Assembler Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate hydro presses to form sheet metal components
- Perform complex forming operations according to engineering requirements
- Perform check and straighten methods to ensure parts meet specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Use calipers and other precision measuring equipment
- Inspect formed components for accuracy and quality
- Develop a basic understanding of heat-treating processes
- Operate a forklift as needed
- Use plasma cutters, drill presses, grinders, and welding equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
Sheet Metal Former / Aerospace Assembler Additional Qualifications
- Previous sheet metal forming or aerospace manufacturing experience is preferred
- Hydro press experience is a plus
- Experience with check and straighten methods is highly preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Experience with plasma cutting, drill presses, grinders, or welding equipment is helpful
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
