Key responsibilities

• Fit and weld sheet metal using TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) techniques.
• Prepare joints, execute production welds, and perform finishing operations.
• Inspect work against drawings and quality criteria; produce consistent results.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints to plan sequence and set-ups.
• Keep a tidy, safe work area and follow all shop protocols.
• Adhere to written procedures and take direction effectively.

Required experience and skills

• 5–7 years of hands-on welding experience.
• GMAW range: 18ga through 1/2" mild steel.
• GTAW range: 0.030" through 1/2" aluminum and stainless steel.
• Comprehensive knowledge of weld fit-up practices.
• Competent with calipers, tape measure, and quality control tools/equipment.
• Detail-focused, punctual, strong team contributor, and self-starter.
• Excellent communication; able to discuss technical requirements with clients.
