We are currently seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team in Charlottesville, VA. If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in building and installing systems with precision, this is a great opportunity for you.

What Youll Do

As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will support the installation, repair, and maintenance of sheet metal systems in commercial and public building environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work as part of a team to complete tasks assigned by the Superintendent or Lead Mechanic
• Measure, cut, and install ductwork using hand tools and measuring instruments
• Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform additional duties as needed to support project success

What Were Looking For

• 1 to 3 years of sheet metal experience in commercial installation, or equivalent training and education
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Dependable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug screen and background checks

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This is a physically active, hands-on role. You can expect:

• Work in indoor and outdoor environments with varying weather conditions
• Frequent standing, climbing, bending, lifting, and manual labor
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Occasional driving between job sites
• Exposure to construction materials, tools, and jobsite conditions
