Compensation: $20.00–$23.00/hour DOE

What you’ll tackle

• Run the shear to cut sheet metal to spec using job travelers, cut lists, and instructions.
• Handle, move, and stage raw materials using safe lifting techniques and handling equipment.
• Verify dimensions and quality; record production and material usage in company systems.
• Maintain a tidy, organized, and safe work area; wear required PPE.
• Conduct basic preventative maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, routine checks).
• Immediately report equipment issues; follow lockout/tagout when clearing or servicing.
• Assist with shop, equipment, building, and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Support other departments during slower periods.
• Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement efforts.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and leadership.

What you bring

• Experience with metal shearing or metal fabrication preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude; maintenance experience is a plus.
• Comfort with computers for data entry and tracking.
• Detail orientation, quality focus, and reliable attendance.
• Team player who can also work independently and follow instructions.
• Adaptable, willing to help wherever needed.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

Physical essentials

• Stand and move throughout a full shift.
• Lift and maneuver heavy sheet metal safely with help or equipment.
• Comfort handling sharp materials and working around industrial machinery.
• Perform repetitive production tasks.
